Territory Sales Manager

1998 was the year Teri Shelton found her calling when she first entered the surfacing industry in San Antonio.  After joining forces with American Tile Supply, she later continued in the industry with Travis Tile Sales.  Ms. Shelton then made her way to Materials Marketing, where she carried on her role in business development before coming aboard Moderno in the summer of 2020, entranced by the turnkey ability of large format porcelain panels.

Inspired by both projects and people, Ms. Shelton services both the residential and commercial sides of the Central Texas market surrounding San Antonio and Austin, presenting to everyone from architects and designers to developers and contractors.  As someone who believes in “Showing up and being seen” as much as possible to build your business.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Shelton was responsible for numerous high-profile projects, including 15 years of supplying porcelain and ceramic tile specification for Whataburger locations throughout Texas and Florida.  The iconic 1×1 themed mosaic display inside the Southwest Airlines concourse in the San Antonio International Airport was another of her most widely recognized projects.  She also supplied 150,000 sq ft of porcelain tile for the guest rooms in all 1,003 rooms inside the Grand Hyatt Hotel on San Antonio’s famed River Walk.

Taking solace on her little Ranchito “El Tesoro”, Ms. Shelton enjoys spending time with her adult children, grandchildren, APHA horse and donkey, dogs, barn cats, baking, cooking, and especially loves coming home after a long day to do ranch work.  Raised by her father to be outdoorsy, she enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, skeet shooting, and is a Dive Master (scuba).  Over the years, she has been involved in several esteemed associations as the Greater San Antonio Builders Association, ABC, IIDA, ASID & AIA.
