MEET THE TEAM
Originally an architect with his own firm AMC & Associates in Houston, TX, Mr. Cuevas became involved with the planning of different fabrication facilities around the country and quickly learned about their equipment and machinery. Seeing a massive opportunity for growth in the then-unknown quartz industry, he soon relocated to the Twin Cities in 1996.
As Director of Expansion for Technimar in Minnesota, he was a key pioneer in spreading the newest and best surfacing throughout the Midwest. In 2001, his own companies AMC Midwest and AMC Wisconsin continued to be leading fabrication and installation facilities for quartz and granite. In 2008, AMC was acquired by Cosentino, who entrusted him to serve as the GM of Stone Systems for the next 10 years.
Among the many awards, he has received was recognition for outstanding commercial sales with Stone Systems for his work on the monumental Olympic Village in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Carrying the belief that porcelain is today where quartz was 20 years ago, Mr. Cuevas lives to be on the cutting-edge of products, always exploring new ways to improve how things are done.
As for his personal life, Mr. Cuevas has been married for 38 years, having 3 kids and 7 grandchildren. He stays athletic through swimming, golf, and soccer, always adventuring out in the woods with his grandkids to see what they’ll find.
Holding well over 20 years of surfacing experience, Mrs. Cuevas first entered the industry in 1996 when quartz was introduced to the U.S. market. Taking a service-first approach, she spent the last decade working through Stone Systems’ largest customers that included Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Lennar Homes, progressing from customer service manager to sales to managing installation teams.
Overseeing the manufacturing process all the way to customer homes, Mrs. Cuevas mastered the ability to manage various stages of 200+ jobs at a time, quickly resolving issues and ensuring customers were 100% satisfied. She has been recognized numerous times for consistently exceeding customer expectations.
With a background in the financial sector, Pam first entered the surfacing world in the early 2000s, working weekends in a tile showroom where she discovered a deep passion for surfacing. She quickly joined Rubble Tile where she was essential in growing annual sales from $8M to over $14M. Pam then helped build Uson Design Solutions from the ground up, continuing to be an early proponent of eco-friendly porcelain back when it could only be manufactured in much smaller formats.
Always intrigued by the idea of larger format porcelain and knowing Moderno had pioneered a method to fabricate and install 5×10 ft panels with infinite possibilities, joining the team behind this industry-driving technology was a perfect fit. Firmly rooted in the ethic that good and happiness in life come with hard work, Pam is known in the industry for her knowledge and exceptional customer service, respected as a go-to surfacing expert who has mastered her trade.
